hi!!
I'm Lisa. I was born and raised in Scarborough, England so am a through and through, Yorkshire lass.
I have followed Go West from the very start back in 1984. I've seen them three times in concert all at Hammersmith back in the early 90s when I was studying and living in London. I emigrated to the USA in 1994. I spent my first years in the US in Upstate New York State in the Cortland, Ithaca, Syracuse area (snow country) and then almost eight years ago moved out here to sunny Los Angeles, California. Funny thing but back in the days of the "Peter Cox Fan Club" I once received a Christmas card from Peter telling me at length, how much I would love California and how I should come to live out here. Lifes' twists and turns are funny aren't they?
I took US Citizenship in 2006 and carry both US and British nationalities.
Over the years I've collected records, tapes, pictures, newspaper clippings, drawn things etc. I've even been called a "psycho" over Go West. You know what? I don't care....I love these two with all my heart and soul. They are two of THE most talented people I have had the pleasure of meeting. They've MOVED me emotionally and maybe even saved me a couple times. Amazing what simply throwing on earphones or cranking up the volume to S.O.S. or Innocence in the car will do when you're super pissed off about something....
Anyhow, I am really happy to be part of this forum and have enjoyed making new friends with a lot of you, all of whom I have YET to meet. Hopefully in 2016 many of you will no longer just be, "people inside my iPhone." I'll actually make the 12 hour flight to a gig (or a few of them if I make it a weeks vacation AND there are a number of dates close together) and meet you all.
July 2nd, 2016 Update:
So, yeah. You will all no longer be people inside my iPhone come December 9th evening. Looking forward to meeting you all. Just booked my airfare.......sooooooo excited.
Ciao
